The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (RQF) is a nationally recognised foundation qualification within the UK construction industry. This flexible online course is designed for learners who currently work, or are looking to work, in construction.

This qualification supports learners in gaining essential health and safety knowledge and practical understanding needed to progress in a construction career, including roles such as bricklaying, plastering, carpentry, tiling, plumbing, and general construction.

The Level 1 Health and Safety qualification is an approved CSCS card course and is suitable for anyone entering or already working within the construction environment.

Entry Requirements

• Learners must be 16 years of age or over

• A basic level of literacy is required

• English language proficiency equivalent to Level 1

• Silver Package - Qualification Only. 

• Gold Package - Qualification and CITB Test.

• Platinum Package - Qualification, CITB Test and Application of CSCS Green Card.

Awarding Body

This qualification is accredited by QNUK (Qualification Network) and is fully approved and recognised by CSCS.

CSCS Green Card Application Information 

Please note: You will need a copy of both the Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (RQF) certificate and the CITB Touch Screen Test score report to complete your CSCS Green Card application.

How the Online Training and Assessment Works

Our online training is delivered through structured video content with short progress checks throughout the course. 

The multiple-choice exam is invigilated and must be completed on a PC or laptop with a webcam, microphone, and reliable internet connection. Once successfully completed, your RQF e-certificate will be issued by email.
